Cameron C. Powell

Cameron C. Powell is a principal of Charles River Recruiting. Following graduation from Harvard Law School, Mr. Powell held a judicial clerkship with the Chief Judge of the U.S. District of Colorado, after which he was accepted into the highly competitive Attorney General’s Honors Program at the United States Department of Justice.

As a trial lawyer at DOJ, Mr. Powell litigated cases in federal courts around the country on issues of environmental, constitutional, contract, and tort law. At Foley & Lardner, Mr. Powell next worked in the Litigation and Intellectual Property Departments.

Mr. Powell next joined the Corporate Executive Board (NYSE: EXBD), a best-practices consultancy, where, as part of the talent-focused Corporate Leadership Council, he traveled the world to speak with senior executive teams of Global 2000 companies about leadership and talent. Subsequently, Mr. Powell founded or was an early leader in, and successfully sold, numerous start-up companies, some of which were venture- and angel-backed.  For two of them he served as General Counsel.

Recruited into five ultimately successful legal and business opportunities in a row, Mr. Powell came to well appreciate the strategic and tactical benefits of professional recruiting and placement services.

Mr. Powell earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.  He was elected Class Marshal and continues to act as the Chairman of the Reunion Committee for his 550-member class. Cameron earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder, summa cum laude, where he was valedictorian. He resides in the Pacific Northwest, where he skis, hikes, trail-runs, and otherwise takes advantage of the beautiful outdoors.

Adam S. Weiss, Esq. is a Principal of Charles River Recruiting and specializes in partner-level and group placements worldwide. With over a decade of recruiting experience, Adam’s recent placements with major international, national and regional firms cover such diverse practice areas as litigation, corporate and securities, intellectual property, tax and regulatory law.

Formerly an associate attorney with Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Adam is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and Texas. His business experience includes 3 years with McKinsey & Co., Inc., where he advised global players in the fields of energy, transportation, consumer electronics and the performing arts.
